The Samurai Jeans S3100VX is a standout example of a WWII-inspired wide cut. Crafted from their 17oz "Zero" unsanforized selvedge denim, first introduced in 2004, this fabric features an exceptionally slubby and neppy texture achieved through the innovative use of uneven No. 5 yarn for both the warp and weft. The silhouette is a new iteration based on the WWII S3000VX model, featuring a slightly deeper inseam and a marginally wider waist for enhanced comfort.
Signature Samurai details are present throughout. The buttons are crafted from newly-designed iron, inspired by the "sentoku" technique used in Japanese tea ceremony utensils, where lacquer is baked onto a copper base. Over time, the buttons develop a subdued luster and a beautiful patina, adding character to the garment. The pocket bags are made from 8 oz. slubby thread denim, offering superior durability compared to standard fabrics.
Fit Notes: As with many other Samurai Jeans, this model runs slightly small in the one-wash version. In general, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. However, as always, we suggest checking the size chart first to find your perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one-washed, so there will be no further shrinkage.
